Context
I joined a project where the design and development processes were in a state of chaos. The design left behind by the previous team required a complete overhaul, and new features and refactoring had to be built from scratch, together with the new development team.
Responsibilities
As the Lead Product Designer, I was responsible for a complete redesign and systematization of the product across web and mobile platforms. The project inherited a disorganized design legacy from the previous team, while also requiring a solid foundation for future feature development and technical refactoring.
My role involved conducting a full audit of the existing web and mobile applications, setting up user behavior analytics with MixPanel, and creating a universal Design System (LVLY DS) to ensure consistency and scalability.
Process & Collaboration
Working closely with the founders, I led competitive analysis and Customer Development sessions to identify the most impactful features for redevelopment.
At the same time, I collaborated with the development team (Angular for Web, Flutter for iOS & Android) to align UX improvements with technical refactoring efforts.
Outcome & Impact
The result was a streamlined and data-driven product strategy, supported by a robust design system.
This not only accelerated the design and development process but also enhanced user experience, reduced complexity, and created a clear roadmap for future growth.
Sound Design
I created the entire sound system for the app from scratch. The pack included all key events and states of the product:
- 📞 Calls: Call started, Call ended, Calling, Lyvely Ringtone; - 🙋 User interactions: Hand raised, Join request; - 🎙 Microphone: Mic On, Mic Off; - 🔔 Notifications: Notification; - 🌐 System states: Connection issue.
All sounds were designed in a consistent style — subtle, recognizable, and aligned with the product’s identity. This added personality to the app and made the overall experience more cohesive and engaging.
